Project summary

The problem

The owner wanted a dining table that would not look like anything bought from a showroom, built around the natural edge of the wood rather than cut straight to hide it.

What Gary did

Gary matched two slabs so their natural edges mirror each other, set the gap, and poured a deep clear-blue resin river between them. After curing, the top was flattened and sanded through the grits so the resin and the wood finish dead flush, then finished and mounted on a steel base.

The result

A single-piece dining table where the resin reads like water running between two riverbanks — no two are repeatable, because the edge shape comes from the tree.

Project photographs

Project location is not published because it has not been confirmed. Gary's photo archive spans more than one market and these images are not individually dated or geotagged, so no city is claimed for any single project.
