Project summary

The problem

Every cat tree on the shelf is carpeted MDF tubes. The owner wanted something the cats would actually use that did not look like pet equipment parked in the living room.

What Gary did

Gary built it around an actual branching trunk, using the natural forks as the climbing route rather than imposing a ladder on it. The den is hollowed into the mass of the wood, and the base is a stabilised slab finished to the same gloss as his tables.

The result

A climbing structure that works as furniture — the platforms sit where the tree already branched, so it reads as a sculpture rather than a cat gym.

Project photographs

Project location is not published because it has not been confirmed. Gary's photo archive spans more than one market and these images are not individually dated or geotagged, so no city is claimed for any single project.
