Project summary
The problem
A dry creek bed split the garden in two, and the crossing needed to be something you would want to look at, since it sits in the middle of the view.
What Gary did
Gary built the bridge with a true arch rather than a flat deck on a ramp — the stringers are curved, so the decking and both handrails follow the same sweep. Every deck board is a slightly different length as a result.
The result
A crossing that works as a garden feature in its own right, with the arc carried consistently through the deck and both rails.
Project photographs
Project location is not published because it has not been confirmed. Gary's photo archive spans more than one market and these images are not individually dated or geotagged, so no city is claimed for any single project.
