Project summary

The problem

The chair's frame was sound but the woven seat and back had gone. Reweaving is slow, fiddly work that most shops will not quote for.

What Gary did

Gary worked the frame back up and rewove the seat and back panels in cord, keeping the tension even so the weave supports weight without sagging into a hammock.

The result

A usable chair again, with a crisp basketweave pattern across both panels.
