Project summary

The problem

A decorative iron fence had failed at the welds and the posts had gone out of plumb. Replacing it would have meant losing the original scrollwork, which is not something you can buy back.

What Gary did

Gary welded the failed joints on site, reset the posts and pulled the runs back to line. Doing it in place keeps the original ironwork — the alternative is a new fence that does not match anything else on the property.

The result

The original decorative fence kept and back in service, with the repaired joints blended in rather than plated over.
